What's New — March 2026

March was a big month for Planmee — we shipped 14 new features, 7 improvements, and a handful of bug fixes. The main focus was on financial controls, better reporting, and smoother day-to-day workflows.

New Features

Financial Report Approval Workflow

Financial documents now go through a proper verification process. When uploading costs or profits, you can submit them for approval to a designated reviewer. The approver receives a notification and can approve, reject (with a note explaining why), or request changes. Rejected documents can be resubmitted after corrections.

  • Documents pending approval are clearly marked and excluded from financial totals
  • Approvers can edit document details (price, category, description) during review
  • Full audit trail of who approved what and when

Month Lock for Financial Reports

You can now lock specific months to prevent any changes to financial data. Once a month is locked:

  • No new costs or profits can be added for that period
  • Existing documents cannot be modified
  • Admins can unlock with a recorded reason
  • Exception requests are available if someone needs to make a change in a locked month

Every lock and unlock action is logged with timestamps and notes for complete accountability.

Incognito Mode

A new privacy toggle hides all financial numbers behind lock icons. Useful for screen sharing, demos, training sessions, or anytime sensitive financial data shouldn't be visible. One click to enable, one click to disable.

Payment Batches

Group multiple cost items into payment batches for bulk processing. Each batch tracks its lifecycle:

  • Created — costs are grouped and reviewed
  • Exported — batch is exported in your bank's transfer format
  • Paid — payment confirmed

You can assign an approver to each batch, set a planned payment date, and tag batches for organization.

Financial Stats Dashboard — Extended

The analytics dashboard has been extended with four dedicated tabs:

  • Overview — Total revenue, costs, net profit, profit margin, revenue per employee, revenue per hour, top clients chart, year-over-year comparison
  • Cash Flow — Net cash flow, pending inflows/outflows, aging analysis (current, 30/60/90+ days), outstanding items breakdown
  • Jobs & Categories — Job profitability analysis, category distribution, comparative views
  • Predictions — Forecast projections and trend analysis

All tabs support filtering by period, company, job, category, employee, and payment status.

Job Budget Module

Create detailed budget breakdowns for each job with individual line items for labor, accommodation, and other costs. The system automatically calculates:

  • Expected revenue
  • Total labor costs
  • Accommodation costs
  • Other item costs
  • Expected margin percentage

This gives project managers a clear picture of job profitability before work even begins.

Employee Questionnaire

A new questionnaire system for employee onboarding and data collection. Questionnaires can be created from scratch or pre-filled from an existing employee profile — automatically populating name, contact details, address, identification numbers, and employment information. No more re-entering data that already exists in the system.

Filter Presets for Employees

Save your current filter setup as a named preset and restore it with one click. Set a default preset that loads automatically when you open the page. Supports search terms, date ranges, sorting, and all filter options.

QR Code Payments

Invoices now include payment QR codes in two standards:

  • Pay-by-Square — Slovak banking standard
  • EPC/SEPA — European standard

Customers can scan the QR code with their banking app to pay instantly — no manual entry of IBANs, amounts, or variable symbols needed.

Deals Collaboration

The deals module now supports team collaboration with comments, file attachments, and a full activity timeline. You can discuss deals directly within the platform, attach relevant documents, and generate PDF summaries. Deals are no longer just pipeline entries — they're collaborative workspaces.

Job Work Hours Export

Export job work hours to Excel with a professional multi-sheet layout. Each job gets its own worksheet with employee names, work dates, hours, hourly rates, daily wages, and formatted totals.

Exclude Filters

Multi-select filters now have an Include/Exclude toggle. Instead of selecting everything you want to see, you can select a few items to exclude. For example: "Show all costs except Job X and Job Y" — much faster when you only need to filter out a handful of items.

Recurring Group Bulk Edit

Edit entire recurring payment groups in one action. Choose between updating all installments or only future ones. Change the category, price, description, state, or bank account across the whole series without touching each item individually.

Employee Company Assignment

Employees can now be assigned to specific companies within your organization. Financial documents (costs, profits, invoices) automatically link to the employee's assigned company instead of the default. Essential for organizations operating across multiple business entities.

Improvements

New Tickets Layout

A sidebar-based interface for browsing and managing tickets, inspired by modern project management tools. Browse tickets in a list on the left, view details on the right.

Redesigned Reports Page

Modern table layout with search, advanced filters, mobile responsiveness, and unread status indicators. Finding and managing reports is now significantly faster.

Invoice Creator Redesign

The invoice form is now organized into clear sections: Basic Info, Recipient, Items, and Summary — making invoice creation more intuitive and less error-prone.

KPI Detail Page

Rich visualizations including radial gauge, trend line chart, and monthly bar chart for deep KPI analysis on a dedicated detail page.

Job Finance Stats

Real-time financial metrics are now displayed directly in the job detail page — no need to navigate to the financial report for a quick profitability overview.

Workers Terminology

"Employees" has been renamed to "Workers" across the entire interface in all supported languages for better alignment with business terminology.

Work Category in Finance

Financial reports can now be filtered by work category for more granular cost analysis and breakdown by type of work performed.
